Fox’s History

A Southside Irish Tradition Since 1963

Our History

Tom Fox Sr. got his taste for the restaurant business, when he was a young teenager, delivering pizzas for a local pizzeria. Just an average blue collar worker, Tom worked two jobs while establishing his dream on Walden Parkway, a small carryout venue.

When Mariotoe, Al Capone’s sister, decide to sell Maritote’s Deli, a Capone family store front, Tom and Therese jumped at the chance and opened the infamous Beverly location.

As the Fox’s brand grew in recognition for great quality and service at a reasonable price, in 1971 Tom was able to open his Oak Lawn location. A short two years later Tom opened in Orland Park, which now serves as the village’s longest standing family owned and operated restaurant, something he took great pride in.

On behalf of Tom and Therese we would like thank you for joining Fox’s Restaurants and allowing us to continue the tradition into the third generation.
